I wish to join the Hawaiian Trail and Mountain Club.

Q. What is the Hawaiian Trail and Mountain Club?

A. HTMC is a community based, volunteer hiking club based primarily on Oahu

Q. Who are the HTMC members?

A. We are mostly 20-70 years of age, single, married, guys, gals, work Monday to Friday in various occupations, and LOVE hiking. All other factors are random.

Q. How can I find out about hikes and schedules?

A. Visit the HTMC website http://htmclub.org/skeds/index.html and calendar http://calendar.yahoo.com/htmclub .Hikes are scheduled regularly on Sundays and two Saturdays each month.

Q. How can I join the HTMC?

A. You must first participate in three HTMC sponsored hikes withing a twelve month period, fill out a membership application with sponsoring signatures from two active members and submit the application with the annual member dues amount (currently $25.00 in 2011). 

You may choose to attend more than three hikes before you apply for membership. The hikes allow you to try out the club and our hiking style before you decide on membership.

Q. What are the benefits of HTMC membership?

A. As a regular member, you may paticipate in any HTMC hike at no charge, use the HTMC clubhouse facilities at member rates, vote in the annual elections and be eligible for nomination to the board of directors of the club.

Q. How will I know when hikes are scheduled?

A. You will receive a quarterly Hike Schedule and Newsletter. Optioanlly, you may visit the HTMC website http://htmclub.org/skeds/index.html and calendar http://calendar.yahoo.com/htmclub for online information at any time.

Q. When do I renew my membership?

A. You will receive a notice to renew with the January Schedule and Newsletter.
