A $3.00 donation is requested for each non-member, age 18 or over. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
For hikes, we meet at Iolani Palace, mountain side, at 8 AM unless otherwise noted. For trail maintenance, call Mike Algiers, 422-1048. Please sign our release and abide by our rules.
We do not arrange transportation. However, you are welcome to arrange your own. You are cautioned not to leave valuables in parked cars.
Bring lunch and water on all hikes. Wear sturdy shoes and clothing. Extra caution may be required on some trails. You are responsible for yourself at all times.
Keep trails and lunch sites free of litter; treat trees and plants with respect and care. ALWAYS be careful with fire, matches and cigarettes.
Many of our hikes require special permission. For trails open to the public, refer to the State Forestry maps. Firearms and pets are prohibited on hikes.

along two flowing streams, one on the way up and the other on the way
down. Along the streams you will see pre-contact agricultural terraces
as well as dams built by Wai’anae Sugar Company 100 years ago. Hiking
across the upper valley you'll see both pre and post contact sites.
There is one waterfall that is a bit dangerous but has a bypass trail

hike is a steep climb up to the highest point on O’ahu where the scenic
rewards are very dependent on the weather. The native plants in
the Ka’ala bog at the summit love the cool, moist climate. Expect
a steep and muddy trail that requires extreme caution on many sections.

year April Fools' Day coincides with our Annual Meeting. To celebrate,
after the meeting there will be raffle prizes and "just desserts". The
meeting and elections will be kept as brief as possible so that we may
enjoy a festive afternoon together. Raffle tickets will be issued to
members before the meeting starts. Bring your favorite dessert
(ambrosia, baklava, cake, compote, cookies, flan, frozen desserts,
fruit, gelato, mochi, mousse, pie, smoothies, tartufo,
tortes, zabaglione, etc.) for the post meeting blast. We have freezer
